And the World Series goes to... St. Louis Cardinals

Another year of baseball is over.  We have to wait until March and April to get the next look into the new season going.  Its a long wait, and the freshest thing on all baseball fans minds is the winner of the World Series.

The St. Louis Cardinals.

Obviously, the MVP would probably be Frees, with his amazing and inspiring homerun during Game 6.  His dream was realized and that instilled new hope in him, just an inspiring story.  Albert Pujols is an important player too, and he now has another winning season under his bealt.

The thing I am most happy about, as a Cubs fan, is that one of my favorite players, Ryan Theriot, was on the roster and played during the Series.  He has won a World Series, something that is every baseball players goal.  He didn't really make any significant plays or anything, but he had a sac-RBI that brought in a run.  And everyone knows that every run scored makes a difference, even in the high scoring games.

How will the Cardinals look next year?  With the retirement of La Russa, probably a lot different.  Alber Pujols will most likely be leaving too, which will change a lot of the offensive line up.  Other players need to step up and fill in the gap that will be left and then the Cardinals could potentially have another winning season.

Congratulations to the Cardinals, I am glad you won.
